NEW: Direct Billing to Insurance

Drumroll, please! We’ve been working behind the scenes on a summer project to make your life just a little easier. You’ll get:

  • More time and a shorter to-do list

  • More money in your pocket

  • A seamless client experience at our clinic

Any guesses?

🎉Juniper Wellness now offers direct billing to select insurance providers! 🎉

Say goodbye to uploading therapy session receipts and waiting… and waiting… for reimbursement! Beginning in August, our clinic is offering direct billing as an optional, free service. If you opt in, our clinic will use Telus eClaims to bill your insurance provider directly, instead of billing you. Clients will only be charged for the balance due - whatever isn’t covered by insurance. For example:

Iris has 80% insurance coverage for social work services through Manulife Financial. Previously, Iris paid $180 to Juniper Wellness upfront, then submitted a claim to Manulife, and waited for reimbursement. (Okay, more like: Iris forgot to submit the receipt, then lost the receipt email, then lost track of whether it had been submitted or approved… repeat.)

Iris opted in to direct billing. She is
only charged $36 (the portion her plan doesn’t cover) and Juniper Wellness handles the claim. Easy breezy! Iris has more free time to tend to her beloved houseplants.

Iris opted in to direct billing. Iris loves having more free time to spend doting on her houseplants.

It’s a small gesture, but we sincerely hope this offers a better client experience. Check the Telus eClaims site to see if your insurance company is included. Unfortunately, we do not offer direct billing for SunLife or Green Shield.

Already a Juniper client? Check your email by August 8th for an Insurance Information form, so we can add your policy and plan to our system.
